A few words from our Senior Men’s Coach.

So here we are, fast approaching Round 1. Fingers crossed, 2022 will be the first completed season in 3 years. We all deserve it.

As for our pre-season, we have been very lucky on the coaching front landing Steve Dinnell (forwards coach) and Troy Wright (backs coach) who will both be taking the field to add some experience to our exciting crop of young talent that we feel they can fast track into great senior footballers for us. Along with some other handy recruits, we have seen the standard of our training raise again.

As a club, we are on a journey and success on the field can help shape that journey. But most importantly, we are trying to galvanise our club to be as one. If you come down on a Thursday night, you will see all senior mens and women training as one to start the session. And its been fantastic for all 3 groups of people (19s, Senior Women, Senior Men). If we can generate that excitement off the field, I’m sure it will flow onto the field throughout the whole club.

We hope we can bring some enjoyment to our supporters and families this year with an exciting brand of football that everyone can smile at. What comes of that is unknown but I know after last season the expectation of the playing group is to be playing at the pointy end of the year. But as we know after the last couple of years, we can’t take anything for granted.

Go Roos
